I'm saying goodbye to the 30D for now because the 50D has arrived. :D

From now on, my shots will come from my brand new 50D + a Gitzo tripod and Wimberley gimbal head I just purchased...... Yes, I really have gone nuts.

Thanks Gary. I'm going to hang on to it for awhile. I can always put the 300mm lens on it.

I seen some shots the other day of the moon comparing both and the 50D sure picks up alot more detail, A good birders camera it will be. I'l be stcking to my 30D for awhile yet but will be looking for your future photos from the 50. As you have shown above, the 30D ain't to shabby. Nice shots.

I Love my Canon,

Congrats on the new camera!! Nice shots with your old one. It doesn't hurt to carry an extra with while shooting.

Thanks Rick. The flicker landed on top of a bird feeder that was about 25 feet from me. I don't think he saw me right away. He kept bobbin his head up and down getting the food. I snapped this as his head came up from behind the roof of the feeder.
