Subscribing to follow results as I do not yet have a 5D.

But it looks like Canon addressed bot the dots and the banding issue.


Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

I had my chance to pick up a 5D2 at Best Buy today but turned it down. Wish they'd offered the fix a few hours earlier.

Note:
When updating to Firmware Version 1.0.7, please also update the Digital Photo Professional and Picture Style Editor software, which can be downloaded from Drivers/Software Selection.

Wow! Way to go, Canon. I've been sitting on the sidelines for a while, and they're now starting to become available sporadically. This is very good news.
