Wife bought me some lights for christmas so I created a "studio" in my basement.

This is my first shots ever in a controlled environment. I think they came out well. Tell me otherwise please.

I like these a lot, the shots and the PP on them. Great captures.

nice shots. my only real c/c is that her far eye is going slightly soft in #2 from DOF.

"A photograph never grows old. You and I change, people change all through the months and years, but a photograph always remains the same. How nice to look at a photograph of mother or father taken many years ago. You see them as you remember them. But as people live on, they change completely. That is why I think a photograph can be kind."

This was taken with my 580ex II in a shoot through umbrella about 25 degrees from the subject camera right.

Very, very nice shots. My only critique would be to maybe give the girl a bit more room in the first portrait. Her head looks a bit too close to the edge for comfort in my opinion.

That second shot is great too...nice light, pose & composition.

Thank You very much to everyone that replied. I showed some of these off at work and now a few people want me to shoot them as well.

great shots! i like the last in the more recent post the best - first series could use a bit more contrast in shadow/highlight separation PP, but great as well, just a minor quibble... great job!
