Mini/model was my first though too...I've never seen that effect.

It took me a few outings to get the basics down, but I think the most important part of using a TS-E lens is to just slow down and focus on the image taking process. It is definitely not a 'snapshot' lens, and I find I take far fewer images when using this lens. Still, it is by far the most fun to use and rewarding piece of camera gear I've ever owned.
