Does anyone have dynamic range figures for:- 400D, 40D, 5D and 5D mk2.

This is a hairy subject, for

1. the dynamic range in photographic sense depends on your acceptance of noise. The less noise you tolerate, the lower the dynamic range,

2. the measurement is not always simple. For example DPReviews measurements are in some cases plainly ridiculous.

I have a large collection of measured values for different tastes, but unfortunately the 400D is not represented, and the 5D and 5D2 are only with ISO 100 and 1600 included. I need more raw files targeted to this purpose, but that's not easy.

Here is side by side comparison, but for dynamic range you have to dig little bit deeper, I'm afraid..
