In the computers forum. Not much to talk about though...

"Raw" is not an acronym, abbreviation, nor a proper noun; thus, it should not be in capital letters.

Okay, so I looked for the computer forum and could not find one...

Just wanted to get the geeks take on the new 17 MBP that I've been waiting for.

Mac....it's the only way to go! :-)

Here you go:
https://photography-on-the.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=129

And I think no one is talking about the MBP, because all the geeks on here already spend their money on a new 5DII.

Yes, I'm serious. The new 17" MBP is nice update, but I was expecting more from MWSF (i.e., iMacs and Minis, Aperture support for sRAW, etc.).

Nah. They're for people who don't want to operate a PC. ;)

i'm sure the current MBP is a fine model, I've been using 2.2ghz macbook for about a year and it's been decent.

As for Mac vs. PC...

mac = expensive, better for artists and people who value color accuracy, easier to use
PC = cheaper to build pro setup, better for gamers, but have fun with all the viruses!

Pretty sure you can color calibrate a PC.
