I found this while surfing around

http://www.lumiquest.com/products/fxtra.htm (external link)

The FXtra is a compact gel holder that facilitates a quick installation and removal of colored gels. Eight Rosco gels are included: CTO, ½ CTO, ¼ CTO, Plus Green, ½ Plus Green, Sky Blue, Canary Yellow and Fire Red in the integrated storage pouch. FXtra is sized to use with most popular flashes and the gel pocket accommodates both Rosco and Lee gel samples.

That's actually pretty handy. I don't use filters that often though.

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

I have the FX, which takes larger gels. I like it, although I do not use it too often. I find it handier than trying to attach loose gels to the flash.

Not to mention you loose a stop of light because of its front diffuser.

If they had made the front diffuser on the FX cut out so it only held the sides of the gel's it would have been better.

However, I don't want to cut mine up to do it either...

Might want to take a look at the these posts... https://photography-on-the.net …hread.php?t=523186&page=6

The FXtra does not fit the 580EXII very well. Of course if you're not using a 580EXII then it might be a good tool to have.
