Lunar Halo

I wanted to get an image more like what we see with our eye, so I snapped up a bunch of photos at different shutter speeds to see if photoshop would do a HDR image for me... turns out since the clouds where moving, the moon was moving and so on (that and me not really not knowing what the best series of exposures would work the best) I was unable to.

So I just took the best shot, which shows a severly blown out moon with the halo.

Yep, that's a corona: the halo is a different thing (caused by a different phenomenon).

That's the halo. You can get them around the sun too, but as the sky around the sun is so bright, people don't notice them so often.
