5D Mk II. Same as 1Ds III with improved image processing (not same build, weather-seal, etc)

Thanks for all the response guys. How does the image from the 1Ds MK II compared to 1 Ds MK III compared? Is latter will give me better IQ (ie, better color, dynamic range, etc)?

I would normally say the Mark III but, I was with a gut last night who has one and he is lusting after the 5D Mk II. Go figure. They are about the same money today. The Mk III has dropped in price lately on the used market.

I have 1DsII and 1DsIII, to my eyes [and my opinion only] 1DsIII giving me better results, and i am happy with it, i put it my 1DsII under more tests lately after i came back from my vacation, still my 1DsIII results blown my mind over 1DsII results, no question which is better for me.

if your complaining about dust, rule out the 1Ds mark II as it's got the same issue, and if you're looking for IQ, the 5Dii is slightly better than the 1Ds mark III for waaaaay less money.

My vote is 5Dii.

I think the sealing of the 1DS2 keeps it cleaner than the 5D Classic. I've been using mine mostly with the sealed 16-35 II and it stays quite a bit more tidy than the 5DC did.

OK, but if you're swapping lenses it'll get dirty. My 1Dii, even with a 1.3, still needed regular cleaning. Sure a 1Ds II will stay CLEANER than a 5D, but certainly not as clean as something with a cleaner. Not that a cleaner means you're done cleaning, it just lessens the frequency.

In higher ISO i will say yes, but in which it is better if not higher ISO? even with 5D and 1DsII 5D was cleaner in higher ISO but 1DsII was better color and more natural than 5D.

What the hell does that mean? really?

It means he hurt the feelings of some 5DmkII owners.

Regarding the question posted, if you have the funding, the 1DsMKIII is the way to go if you are looking to pixel peep, and need the upper end autofocus.
