This is my very first shot of the moon with my new 55-250 IS. Let me know what you think CC is always welcome. :D

Shot as 250mm 100% crop.

Thats a nice capture. Good phase to use also since the craters show up well.

haha Thanks!! well it would not be possible for others trial and errors, Thats pretty much how I learned. As far as the lens goes....It's pretty amazing for the price and the IS is another Plus! Its pretty sharp wide open at 55mm and 250mm and it compliments my 17-55mm really nice.

Got the tripod, now I'm waiting on the moon and the weather. Grrrr
