Why does everone hate silver cameras?

You know, it's kind of funny that everybody says that the Rebel series feels plastic and that the xxD series is so much better. The first time I held a 40D, I couldn't believe how... empty... it felt. That feels like a toy. A small, weighty body doesn't feel like a toy to me. A larger, less dense plastic camera feels like a toy to me, despite the color.

I actually have one of each and like them both equally. I really don't care what people think. I take pictures for myself and if I'm happy that's all that matters.
