Getting Photoshop CS4 Software - Where to Buy?

I have ordered from 2 different vendors CS4 (full version as I used Elements before, so not an upgrade) paying approx. $400 each time. Both vendors sold me bad software where the serial number was not valid. The boxing of the product indicated to me this was not legal software either.

Where can I buy this software at the most reasonable price?

I see it on amazon.com for $669. Is that the cheapest place I can find it where it is "legal"? I certainly don't want to buy illegal software, but it is sooooo expensive.

Is it possible that you, or a member of your family, might qualify for the student pricing?

If you buy any Wacon Intuos3 you can get CS4 for $299. http://www.wacom.com/cs4offer/ (external link)

There is currently a $40 rebate offered on Intuos3, so you could get a 4X6 for about $159

If you don't need the tablet you could ebay it.

Official price at Adobe (external link) is $699,=

If you have Elements, you pay a (slightly) lower upgrade price: Click (external link).

Can't beat that Wacom deal however

Great, thanks for the tips. I may buy the tablet.

I do see with the upgrade from elements, i would only have to pay $599, so a bit cheaper than I thought just to buy it outright

2 options now - thanks so much for the input.

Amazon has the best deal on the Wacom tablet, $178.32 with free shipping.:)
So with the rebate it's less than $140.

Wow, that's a good deal, so $178 for the tablet, and only $299 for CS4, so $477 total. I am going to do that!

Now I am anxious to try out these tablets. Another photography friend of mine has one, but I am not very familiar with them. I would imagine they are a great tool.

I see that now. I was just ordering it on amazon.com.

You guys are GOOD!

Thank you, thank you, thank you. This is much more reasonable for CS4 and I get this great tablet.

Happy Friday!

Nope, there's a hugely wide range of people that qualify. Look here for details. (external link)

You know, I am on amazon.com now and the 4 x 6 tablet does not say it has the "bundled software" which is a reuirement for the Wacom promotion. Do you guys think it does come with the software and it maybe just doesn't say that in the description?

If you click on the "More Technical Details" link you'll see this listed:
Package Contents: Intuos3 4x6 Pen Tablet, Intuos3 Grip Pen, Five-button Mouse, and Pen Stand; CD with driver software and user manual; DVD with bundled software

Thanks. I did order it anyway, plus I do already have Elements, so I really just need the upgrade. I can't wait to get the tablet! I am also loving my trial version of CS4. It is amazing compared to elements. I had no idea there was such a big difference.
