Going to my first Roller Derby tonight...the Naptown Roller Girls here in Indianapolis. Unfortunately, my dream lens won't arrive until next week (70-200L 2.8F IS) ...so I'm shooting 50D with the kit 28-135 IS and doing the best I can.
Anyone shot Roller Derby? If so...hints and tips are welcome! I really want to capture the idea of "brutal beauty".
(BTW, this is purely educational for me. I'm buying my own ticket and shooting only for myself. So no pressure. But I think the speed combined with indoor lighting is going to be a huge challenge with my current kit. Regardless; I'll learn lots!)
