I shot this back in 2006 and was in the right place at the right time. Here are the camera settings and this was shot in raw with a MKII with the 400 DO with a 1.4 extender......

560mm
1/160 sec, f/14
Mode: Manual
Metering: Partial
ISO: 200

That is quite a shot, definately right about timing and place. It seems a little oversharpened to me, but not sure.


Shooting with canon rebel T5 or Canon Rebel XS.

That shot was saved for the file size needed for this sight. I see what you mean in the gray areas, but I can assure you the 20x30 that is in my office looks great...... Good eye!!!! :)

Thanks for the comments everybody. I wanted to get out tonight and shoot tonight but here in Michigan we had a snow storm today and it just cleared off about 45 minutes ago and I had to shoot a hockey game tonight..... Always next time!!!! :)

As I thought about it, I thought it might be JPEG artifact. Do you have a higher Res version posted anywhere?
