I am very new to this but I managed to get a bunch of cool (to me anyways) shots. Its is a local retention pond and there are always ducks, herring gulls( I think), anhinga (I think), and a great blue heron (I think) and some softback turtles (I think).

Needless to say animals are not my strong point my wife guessed at what most were.

Let me know if you guys and gals would like to see the rest so I can post them up.

Tommy

Wide angle wildlife photography, and all along I have been going long  Think I need to rethink the situation. Fun shots, thanks for sharing them!

What was really cool was that there was a strong wind behind he so when they would go to fly away they would be against the wind and just kinda float there 3 to 5 feet above my head.

Looks like you're drawing a crowd. Fun shooting in situations like this...just look out for the occasional splatter. :p

This is all so depressing. Green grass , blue skies, people wearing shorts. Here, it's grey skies, 5 above, and everything is either black or white. And 4 more months of it for sure. :(
