Ok, my issue is this. I have a canon 430 ex and I had the flash bulb fail on the flash. So I ordered the part from canon. Here is my issue. I finnaly have everything apart and all the wires from the new bulb soldered into the flash, EXCEPT ONE! I always make a diagram when i am doing stuff like this, except this time. My 3 year old son was trying to help and I kept moving his hands aways. I can not remember where the pink wire goes that comes directly out of the flash bulb itself.

My only guess is there is a hole on the circuit board that is attached on the capacitor. Does anybody happen to know where I solder that pink wire from the replacement bulb on the flash? Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!!!

You might try calling a Canon service center. Look on the Canon web page for a center near you (or not) that repairs flash. The worst they can do is not tell you. Well, they could tell you wrong and that would be worse, but let's assume they know what they are doing.

always take a few pics as you dismantled these types of things... they can be a great help when it comes time to re-assemble!
