It's really not that big of a deal. Pretty soon we will all have our straps and it will all be worth it in the end, especially for me after I start cashing in on all those free beers that toddb mentioned earlier, each time I see someone wearing a POTN strap. :D

Well, you are taking the risk of getting completely drunk almost in every continent :D :D

Thank you so much, Phil, for all your hard work. It is incredible how monumental this project turned out to be. I truly hope that in the end, you actually make enough money to help defray the cost of running this forum. We can never repay your time invested! THANK YOU!!!!

I look forward to wearing my strap with pride...

psst.... Phil doesn't run the forum, Pekka does

Watching the production of these straps is a little like watching grass grow, but the good news is, I just got a call and the first batch of 200 has been shipped today. FINALLY!!!
We should easily make our 5/12 ship date, and I think I'll be able to get all 200 out by Saturday, May 14th.
I was told it will still take about two to three weeks to fill the remainder of the order, so shipping will go on for a while.

Yesss !

If I remember well, I have been the very first "official" customer (apart of the small circle of the "initiates" and "initiators of the strap project"). So I guess I'll receive it in the coming days, or week?

I suggest we organize a worldwide pictures collection "Me and my POTN strap" of we members taken in various places all over the world.

Wouldn't it be funny? ;)

Wow! Made the mistake of wondering about the status of the strap and just read all 30+ pages of the thread!

Some of the comments made me feel guilty about having ordered a strap. :( Sure, it was cheaper, but I joined (and included a donation), thinking that as a newbie to digital photography, I could learn from other's expertise. If it hadn't been for the strap, I probably would have just read the various threads without ever being a participant.

So be a little gentler to us newbies who might be intimidated by your experience.
