First real camera was a Canon AE-1 Program (still have it and occasionally use it) followed by a brief lull in photography. I then started off again with a Canon EOS 3 which i still love using.
This was followed in late 2004 with the new 20D and i have recently upgraded to a 50D.

Film - rebel 2000! I used it while doing b&w darkroom stuff in college. It was cool, but I love digital and love color!

My first camera was a Yashica rangefinder that my brother gave me in 1969 when he bought his first SLR. In 1976 I bought my first camera, an AE-1. In 2003 I bought my first digital camera, a Canon G3, and then in 2007 I bought my 40D.

Started with a Digital Rebel. Then it died out on me and I grabbed an XT for cheap. Got a K1000 from a relative, and started shooting some film. Picked up an Olympus Xa and Bronica SQ-a around the same time a few months ago. Haven't shot much digital since.

No idea! I had various point and shoots dating back to the mid 80s. Didn't take it seriously til 2004 with a Nikon D100.

My first camera was some kind of 110 also, but who can remember the makers of these el-cheapo things? At least it was better than my sister's first. She had a disc camera which had actually even lower image quality than 110 film.

The first semi-serious camera I bought with my own funds was a Canon FTb around 1973, followed up by a second FD lens body (the EF) in 1976. Still have the EF w/3 lenses, and it stills works well.

I started back in the 60s. Damn I sound OLD! I bought a Kodak Brownie at a garage sale. My father had to loan me his light meter so I could use my camera! Then I started shooting 35mm with my fathers old Nikon. After which I was then allowed to shoot the LF 8x10 camera.

A Minolta SRT 101

State of the art--in 1968.

There was actually a meter that measured THROUGH THE LENS ;)

Still works like a charm.

My first SLR - Canon AE-1 Program
My first digital - Kodak 4800
My first DSLR - 10D

My most favorite fun camera - Pentax mini 110 film with interchangeable lenses. I can't remember the model number, but it was a cute little thing that took amazing 110 film pictures.

I'm old, my first camera was a Realist 35mm. It was guess focus and exposure. Next was an Olympus compact 1/2 frame 35mm, that I carried in a extra ammo magazine pouch around the bush of Vietnam. In VN I bought my first SLR ,a Canon FX with the standard 50mm, a 35mm and a 135mm, man thought I died and went to heaven. Just upgrades from there until I shot A-1's freelance for a local paper. I didn't get my first DLSR until 2004, and you couldn't get me to shot film again for anything - well maybe a nice Hasselblad
