Tried towels, bean bags and insulator pipe across the window none of which i was happy with. More often than not the bird(s) would fly off even before i had the camera upto the window, so after a bit of head scratching i came up with the idea below and it works a treat.
What i wanted was a solid base, to drive around with camera in position and at the ready as soon as i switched the engine off.

Neat set up. I see you had to move the steering wheel to the other side.....

Very cool...did you make it yourself? At first I was confused 'til I realized you have the steering wheel opposite from ours.

Hi Red, yes made it myself out of a $4 plastic step, laminated chipboard, few bolts / screws, strap and a bolt to fit the head.....pic attached of the lefthand drive version.......LOL
