40D, f/2.8, 70-200 & f/1.8, 85, Game shot tonight, tried high ISO, ambient. C & C please.
Not totally pleased with these, action OK.

Kind of what I get as well. The light where you shot actually seems BETTER. Notice in your shots how the floor has 'hot spots' where the light is better and places where it's even worse! Same as where I shoot.

Rarely do I get a shot that is well-lit with fast enough SS to see much ball detail. You can always read the name on the ball, but getting anything close to sharp is difficult.

For these reasons, I'm taking an on-camera flash to this week's games. Will be my first time. I'll do all the testing during the JV game and hopefully have settings sorted out prior to the Varsity game.

Action is very nice Chico. With a custom WB, some noise reduction, and a little pp, you got some winners here. Keep up the nice work.
