Adequate Tripod Legs for my 5 ft daughter

I'm wanting to get some tripod legs adequate for my 5 foot daughter. We will be flying to AZ next fall so I went something lightweight but adequate that I can pick up used and that might have re-sell value someday. Any suggestions?

Define "light weight". 3 lb., 4 lb., 5 lb.?

Suzyview is happy with her Manfrotto 190XPro with 488RC2 head, and she's not much over 5 ft. It's commonly recommended along with the higher Manfrotto 055XProB which should help resale value as well as availability used.

A used Bogen 3001 is great...predecessor to the later Manfrotto 190
A used Bogen 3021 is great...predecessor to the later Manfrotto 055; more sturdy, but more weight and bulk to carry

I should have also specified that it would be nice if it fit inside luggage - we are flying.

3001 better for that. You can always remove the tripod head for packing, with either of them

I just picked up a used Bogen 3001 from this guy on ebay. Paid $40 shipped, has a few scratches but in very good condition and works great. Search for Bogen 3001 and you'll find it. He has quite a few to sell.
