Interesting. I thought at first it was two images, taken by Hubble or something, at different sides of a solar orbit, then the differences emphasised to make a 3D image which is essentially real. But then I read it was just a bloke mucking about. Still interesting, but now my eyes hurt! ;)

Watching some Sky At Night programmes the other evening there were videos of deep space objects which were animated, as though the camera was flying round them. All very "realistic" looking. Guess they just used a few super-computers to draw the images and then create the fly-by effect.

I can't do these on computer but I can do them on paper...my eyes hurt if I look at the screen too long without blinking.
