I want to take some portraits on white background.
Need to know what is the cheapest way to do so?

are you asking about choosing a background, or how to light it?

Take any background and blast it with light so that a reflected light reading shows its intensity at +2.5EV greater than the incident light reading at the subject position

Teacher supply stores have large, wide rolls of paper used for bulletin boards. Get the "Fadeless" kind. They don't lose their color (or discolor) even after five or six years on my walls.

Yeah, He's got a pro studio but likes to play with stuff like that. You should see what he does with coffee cans.
