What PP techniques are you using in the last two photos?

I like the last two. Good work.

#1: I like a warm shot, but the color balance on the car is a bit too warm. The light on it is nice. You need to turn the wheel so we can see it instead of the tire.
#4-6: You can put one of them in here...
Let's see your Transportation self portraits.
#7 & 8 both look pretty good, except for the halo around the car.

It looks like the source images weren't aligned or something.

Could be. It seems a common problem with HDR shots, & is probably one reason that this (external link) exists. ;)

He could try selecting the body, inverting that selection, & then cloning the halo out.
Selecting areas in PS.

#1: not enough detail in the car--black cars are hard to shoot, but it's all kind of a dark mush
#2: need more DOF--I'd like to see all the detail/texture from the headers all the way to the back (driver's side) of the engine bay.
#3: Good thought on angle, poorly executed shot--composition is unbalanced, exposure's not great, pretty static looking angle.

The rest are overdone HDRs, and I don't understand why people think they are "good" or look good. An HDR that is a balanced, blended exposure is a different thing.

I think the last 2 shots are the strongest of the set.

#1 is under exposed.
#2 needs a different focus spot, it feels too far away, either way I want to see those headers in full detail.
#6 needs a deeper depth of field, it loses focus way to early.

It is hard to get great shots of black cars, it can be done but usually from more experienced people. Remember practice makes perfect. Great car too by the way.

No, harsh would be saying "damn, those shots SUCK!!" and not providing any explanation or critique.

You asked for critique, so we gave you honest opinions. Do you want to learn how to get better, or do you want a pat on the back?
