This is why I chose the 580Ex II for my first flash - it can go straight on the hotshoe if need be.

Well that would have been ideal, but I was on a tight budget at the time.

Well that's it. My missus got called up for a strike team in Wilsons Prom tonight.
She's excited, I'm anxious.

Good luck! I'd be somewhat anxious too in your shoes.

Umm, well, due to my lack of geographical knowledge of Victoria I had no idea what you were talking about. Prom to me meant High School ball/dance... :p

I didn't have a clue basically.

No worries. I may speak with a yankee accent but I call those dances, Debutante Balls.

Here's some info on Wilson's Promontory.

Sorry Adam. I've gotta say pretty bland.
The 2nd photo could go into a spotters guide.

Hey guys,

New to the forum - and new to photography too. My gear is in my sig - apart from that I'm in my last two years of school and slowly saving to upgrade my 18-55.

:-)

Hey Mate! Welcome to our humble abode!

Make sure you stay in touch and join in the fun(antics?)!

A real name would help too.

Might be a different story if you were into boats! Shame you just cut the tip of the dredge off... I'm sure there's boat photogs out there just like there are train photogs. That's one I never really understood...

The first thing that popped into my head was Adam Sandler's, At a medium pace.

Welcome GM.

Well, I don't have any small ones around. So I'll guess I have no choice but to abuse the larger ones. Shampoo also happens to be creamy white.
