Haha - sorry about that. My name's Joe - and I just updated my profile (live in Canberra).

Sorry Adam. I've gotta say pretty bland.
The 2nd photo could go into a spotters guide.

Cheers.

Hey guys,

New to the forum - and new to photography too. My gear is in my sig - apart from that I'm in my last two years of school and slowly saving to upgrade my 18-55.

:-)

Welcome mate.

Might be a different story if you were into boats! Shame you just cut the tip of the dredge off... I'm sure there's boat photogs out there just like there are train photogs. That's one I never really understood...

Actually I didn't cut it off in the original, only when straightening the horizon. :)

Not unless they've improved it out of sight, AND it'll talk natively to the Exchange server.

There is a third-party Exchange plug-in (from memory), but it costs. Not surprising given it connects with Microshaft. And overall I find it very functional. Much faster than current versions of Outlook I've experienced, with a few useful plugins that are perfectly stable too. The markup it produces is also a lot cleaner than Outlook's pathetic HTML/CSS mess.

But if you're tied to Exchange, you might as well stick with Microshaft all the way eh.

Can't import settings/mail/anything from Entourage...

:( If you have access to an IMAP server, you can migrate easily enough tho?

I just installed Thunderbird on the Mac Mini, and it's working great. I don't mind the Mac Mail app, but for consistency it's easier to stick with Thunderbird.

1D mark III FTW!!!!

At the basketball tournament im at, there is the official photographer, so i got chatting to him (he knows nothing about canon though:rolleyes:) so anyway we got chatting and i started asking him about his gear (mkIII and 7-20 2.8 IS) so instead of answering, he reaches down brings it out of his bag and hands it to me.

It is the most comfortable camera i have ever held. it actually sounded like a real camera, and while the button layout was confusing at first, after litteraly two minutes of use, it was so easy.

Now i'm completely jealous of everyone who has it, and now i really want one! (never going to happen i know!)

thats my story for now, very nice guy and very helpfull!
