DO NOT read the last couple of pages, really isn't worth it.

Anyhow, glad to see you're safely back. I take it you had plenty of time to take photos, just not process them ?

Dave - I didn't take as many photos as I thought I would in several places, but I still seem to have plenty to go through :) I've got some blog posts up with photos I grabbed out of the mess initially - and I'll likely be too lazy to go back and update them, though I may do some "add-on" posts LOL

Ah, now to get back to work ... I haven't been in an office for soooo long! I need to win lotto, clearly...

Hey there Kristen...welcome home! Let us know when you have updated your blog.
Sadly...you really haven't missed anything in here...and I highly recommend you don't read any of the last five pages. I only read on to see if there was any more mention of Al's wife and the strike team she was on down at the prom. Instead I have a bruised brain and wonder if boys ever grow up.

So Al...how did your wife go with the fire fighting? My hubby Chris spent Sunday down there on a strike team. He said it was pretty huge but they weren't in any danger where they were as they were mainly doing back burning. By yesterday morning, the whole area they were stationed in was gone. They are not having much luck containing it and apparently it has jumped the road they were deperately trying to prevent. They say it won't stop now until it hits the coast. So sad as the Prom is one of my favourite all time places, and it was only just recovering from the last lot of fires a couple of years ago.
I know about the worry of having your other half in such a dangerous situation...but after hearing hubbies account, I was satisfied that he was a safe as he could be given the situation.
They had one lady on their team too. I really admire the women who jump in and do their bit. Thank your wife from me when she gets home eh.:)

Hmmm, so it's not just me then. I found on my recent trips (admittedly in Aust), that I shot less than I thought I would too.

I've got some blog posts up with photos I grabbed out of the mess initially - and I'll likely be too lazy to go back and update them, though I may do some "add-on" posts LOL

So by some you mean two ? Or am I missing where you're hiding them ? :P

Well if you do, I have a mortgage I'd like to get rid of ;-)a

Oh man, my bad!

I should have asked about you all who are dealing with the fires! Being on holidays I didn't even know about them until I got an email from a client asking if we were having them here, too. That's how little contact I had with the real world for the past five weeks.

I hope you are all OK!!

Clarence - very cool! I looked at adding another camera and some other odds and ends, but simply ran out of time to deal with things!

How are you loving the new 1D IIN?

btw - MPEX have gotten back to me and said they can try to accommodate us if we are making a large order. I'm thinking if we can get enough interest to even get a medium sized box shipped via sea, it will be great for us.

So... any interest? :) I'm down for at least two Manfrotto Nano lightstands, a few umbrellas and the like...

edit: they won't send via sea... but their shipping price is still better than B&H!
