My 85/1.2L arrived today.

Congrats! Looking forward to some samples.

A few samples:

Wow, it's like you read my mind!

linarms wrote in post #7350755 (external link)
Most were shot wide open.

As you'd expect to use with the 85L ;)

My wife's eye in #2 is razor sharp at f/1.2!!

You're making me want to get one of these... but later, I don't need it just yet.

I'm in love again ... with new glass I mean ;) Always in love with the wife, haha!

Nice recovery ;)

Okay, I'll stop nitpicking.

Sweet! It's a beautiful lens - I've played with a couple of samples, one on a 5D the other on a 1D MkIII.

Luke, awesome. You missus has a playful yet resigned look in her eyes.

BTW, I've just picked my missus up from the firestation. Apparently it was very difficult getting trucks into the tracks that needed attention so she saw very little action but got to hang out with the crews for Elvis a lot.

I'm impressed so far. Given it's the priciest lens I own (no mean feat), I guess it would want to be!

Thanks. It's her "are you testing a lens on me again?" look ;)

So i might have an opportunity to pick up 4 PW Plus II's, 3 with caddies and PW to PC-Sync cables and one PW to hot-shoe cable. All working and in good nick.
Any thoughts as to what is a reasonable offer?
$1000 bucks?

Sounds reasonable to me, Warwick.

I'm over the time zone thing...up before 4am again today. Don't know why I'm surprised, happens every time. Still annoying as all heck, though.

Makes me want to shop :D
