Umm .. i think i go for Real Madrid.

Just get a 580Ex Phil, that way you off camera ettl and 2 flashes!

Warrenism wrote in post #7357396 (external link)
well mind you ebay prices are inflated and then i would have pass on the listers fee.. ya yah yah

So what is a reasonable price?
1050?

1250 for the full price, less the $40.00 for the finalised transaction, less a fiver to list it.

I'd be going fro $1100 up.

DDP sell them new for 1500...1100 wouldn't be too bad. Just make sure you find a sucker Warren. ;)

Tell me about it Ed, they have been quite cryptic for a while concerning the 5D Mk II price.

Some tax from a Strobist meet a while ago.

Nice shots, I really really like the first one

You pay? Deal :p

Collin85 wrote in post #7355720 (external link)
LOL, that reminds me of the 'two handed 1D III'.

What two handed 1d3?, or is this some mankini reference......

Ahhh. What I'm considering to buy after tax season.

Best lens ever, or the second best, can't decide if I prefer it or my 24-70... But yeah, best tele zoom evar :p

Keep in mind though that sigma is rumoured to be releasing a 70-200 2.8 OS, which I would imagine might be nice.... (cheaper...)

I never keep my EXIF. Smugmug kills it.

I keep it whenever it doesn't get killed somewhere along the way, IE I don't click the kill exif button, I just let all the software do whatever it does :)

No, what we need are more impractical chicks in this thread :D

Seeing I received my EC-S screen I cleaned the old one in distilled water this morning. How well it worked I don't know yet as I haven't put it back into to the camera to test it. It looked good held up to a bright light but that no true indication.

Ahh, you got the EC-S. You must tell me how it goes and if it's any good. The guy who sold my Mk III to me got this new one(the standard one) for me cause the one the camera came with was scratched. Happy times. :D

Glad you got it sorted Michael.

If anyone has an Ec-s they want to sell, I'm after one please.

Or two if someone can confirm it'll work with a 1ds II.

Matt, I bought mine from CameraFarm with no problems apart froma confusion of delivery dates on their part. They weren't in stock (Canon Oz) and CameraFarm told me they be in stock 2/5. I queried this, was it really to be delivered in May and they said yes May. They confused the US dates that Canon had told them I guess. I reckon it was 5/2 as it arrived last Friday.

PS I'm not selling mine:p

Not 100% sure but I think they are the same. I never found a real good reference to say what fitted into the 1 series bodies.

Ok, Camerafarm lists it for the 1d II, 1d IIn, 1ds II... But not the 1d III or 1ds III???

I might have to grab a couple, unless someone here wants to sell cheaper than Camerafarm's pricing. ;)

Just a question to Mark III owners. I believe the original AF issues were regarding Al-Servo on subjects which were moving in the direction (either away or towards) of the optical axis. So that means the Mark III has never had any issues in One-Shot. Is that correct?

Colin, I'm too much of a noob owner to say with any authority but I've not had any problems in either One-Shot or AI Servo. AI-Servo is not just one setting but about 4 different CF's that can all be set in multiple ways, some settings re best for one application but crap for others. This makes it hard because as best I can work out you DO need to first understand the setting and then learn how they interrelate. Canon bought out a glossy just before the Olympics that explains this well. I re-read a section a week in the hope of understanding it.
