Two reasons:

1) It's legal, and

2) greater range.

ZOMG! It's the frequency police!!!! :p

Bleh, I'll just buy whatever is cheaper/available when I can afford it...

Not at all!! Just always really helpful!

Errr, OK, yeah, totally Hotel computer system is down, so STILL can't check in, no Optus 3G so SLOW internet, back is still killing me, etc, etc,

Just want to check in, eat lunch, shower, go to game

Wait, so you're not allowed to go to your room until they fix the computer.... You'd assume they'd have an old skool fall back...

Nice shots Dave. Does the 5D II have AF point linked Spot Metering?

No,
Evaluative knows what point you are using though....
I would say that the 5d2 centre is on par with 1d3 outer, and outer is a bit suss....

Nathan archer? Nah, doubt so, was rowing so he would have had the 400 on :)

There were actually two people with the exact same setup as me, both West staffers with kids at a competing school...

Hey Michael, I'd be interested in taking all the BP-511As you have available, aswell as some of your Ultra IIs. How much are you asking for the Ultra IIs and do they have the little containers? :)

Mark, if you don't want your BP-511 I'll be happy to take it off you. I can give you a lil' money for it too, I'd feel a little guilty taking it off your hands for nothing.

Yeah, that's cool. I have 2 BP-511A's, both are the Merkury ones from Stu. One is brand new, the other has been used very little.

I have 4 of the 2GB ULTRA II cards too. I was thinking $50 for the batteries and cards together...

I'm thinking of re-doing my blog and actually using it. I'm going to be using the ProPhoto template theme thingo. It looks really good. Bit pricey though.
