I just saw the local newspaper, they had a very brief write up of the show I was lx op for, then they had a big picture of it, for some reason the school decided to use someone elses picture instead of mine (it was worse)

Dan/photoblitz was selling one not too long ago, ask gussy, he bought one, destroyed it then got a 17-40 a while back, so should be able to tell you how it compares...

Destroyed it? I'm getting funny imagery in my head here. You mean, he screwed up a shot.. ripped the lens off the mount and crushed it into mince with his bare hands? !

I think he dropped it down a staircase or something, but to the point where dan couldn't (re)fix it up

He is known in these forums as The Destroyer. Whenever he screws up a shot, the lens is guaranteed a swift execution for its failings. Apparently, he accounted for just over 50% of Canon's total sales of EF lenses in the past year.

True but he will have to be gentle and patient as she will be emotionally scarred and scared because of the abuse of......DANGOOSE the abuser.

No one answered my insurance question.

On the upside. Had a belter of a BBQ, a mate went all out, had gourmet sausages...Duck, and lamb, and some chicken ones, and then quail, and some scotch fillets. Great meat fest!
