No one answered my insurance question. :(

On the upside. Had a belter of a BBQ, a mate went all out, had gourmet sausages...Duck, and lamb, and some chicken ones, and then quail, and some scotch fillets. Great meat fest!

You had an insurance question? Where :p

Also, going off RRP prices, how does $441/year sound for almost 15k worth of gear? (lappy included)

Covers:
* Accidental loss or Damage cover
* Theft cover
* Hire cover following a claim
* Worldwide cover
* All equipment covered including computers and studio
* Competitive rates
* Monthly payment option

Oh I found it :p

I dunno TBH, sounds very good cover!

That's the one! :D

It's the most reasonable place I found on the net. everywhere else was almost double. I was hoping for a couple of other inputs on where people were insured, but alas. No one bit.

It sounds good to me, good cover. But as you said, everywhere else is double. What you might want to do is check out what the others offer. There must be a reason why they are double.

Biggest fear is that it may be too good to be true.

I'm gonna print out all the sites terms on Monday and have a read through. If all the cover is as it says though, I thought that $440 was a pretty good deal. For the amount I need to insure anyway.

Ah you too eh ? I have a recipe blog (external link), and it doesn't get updated anywhere near as much as it should as I've eaten the food before I think of shooting it.

Nice Dave. Had a quick read through some recipes. You have a couple of interesting things going on. I'm still very much a cook. I've got a big learning curve with my cooking before I can really start to experiment well. Really enjoying it all though. :lol:

Oh I have no formal training, so I couldn't rightfully be called a Chef, but I've gone well beyond following recipes. You get a feel for what works, or might work, and since I do all the cooking at home, I have captive test subjects ;-)a

Sounds pretty good to me - I have just gone for almost double that cover for $730/year with all the bells and whistles you mention.

No formal training either. I've been sticking to a lot of grilling though. Ask me to make a spice rub, or marinade, and I wont have too much of a problem. Putting together proper meals is a little harder to come by off the top of my head. I'll usually stick to recipes for sides and cook the main attraction the way I want. lol

Cheers for that. Will definitely be looking at these terms a little harder and hoping they're what I need. :) If It works out, plus being able to pay by the month. It should be pretty easy to sort out.
