Yeah, thats exacly what I need.

How much was it?

Look it up on the website - I can't remember exactly.

I'll probably upgrade to the new pocket wizards in time but hoping these are useful in the meantime.

How on earth did you guess that? Genius!

:-)

Could be hard, I think they're in Brisbane :-)

Really? I saw on the site they were in Ringwood?
Was I even on the correct site?

Heyia Damo!

Nice shot. WB seems a little greeny/yellow on this screen. It's probably my screen though. lol

thanks Phil, I adjusted the wb so she looks more like her in the set up shot.

Nah, yer correct. I'm confused, I was sure my package from them when I was in Perth was from Brissie.

Mic, I got skills :)
I can't reach a final decision on whether I need triggers or not. Good to have but am I going to really use it?

I haven't used mine too much, but they've certainly opened up a big door.

AWESOME skillz :-)

The best way to work out if you need radio triggers is to be on a shoot and find yourself going: "Man, I really need to be able to trigger than flash remotely..."

Or to have the Canon IR system go screwy.

No doubt about that Phil. I can see the possibilities with triggers. *Continue below*

That's right!

True but what about the insecurities of having a remote flash. It is probably due to the kind of things I shoot which are usually out in the public. I have not gotten to the stage where I am in a closed/isolated/controlled environment like a studio or a small sports match where I am the only photographer.

You can mount it to a monopod, or tripod with the legs closed & extended and hold it off to the side.

Depending on what exactly you intend on shooting, people generally wont just walk past and try knock off, or push over your stand.

I probably can't get you much off that apart from the freight being consolidated as I'm not buying eneloops. Did you consider a maha charger with imedions? or is it too expensive?

Speaking of battery chargers, is anyone ordering from Sterlingtek soon, i need a charger for the BP 511's, my Canon unit does not charge at all.

I have a spare BP511 charger. How much are they worth :)?

Yeah, that doesn't sound like a good setup for remote flashes at all - not from a securit POV, but from an obstruction one.
