Yeah, that doesn't sound like a good setup for remote flashes at all - not from a securit POV, but from an obstruction one.

Yea. Oh well, no rush in purchasing :) May end up getting a CPL, who knows.

I wish I still had that shoebox. Funny thing is that with women you find one and start believing you don't need that little black book, that shoebox or that 40 gig or porn and you end up chucking it out.

Mammeries, like the corners of my mind!

Damn....I'm opening up to you guys.

Get well soon Nic!
I am almost better I reckon, it was just one of those stupid quick stomach bug things I reckon :|

How do rechargeables work in radio mics, out of curiosity?

Also I am thinking about picking up a cheap (ie knockoff) CF travel super small tripod for travel not too fussed about build as it will only be used on travel, has to be stable enough for 1d+24-70 (preferably 70-200, but want light and small) at slowslow shutter speeds (what else do you buy a tripod for :p)
But it must be cheap or I will just put up with dragging my stable, but relatively heavy manfrotto along....

Like a table top jobbie? Otherwise just spend as little as possible and get an aluminium one. The weight on a cut down tripod will be in infintessimal anyway.

Gitzo make a traveller. ;)

I've added the Servaas group buy to my signature so if anyone wants anything, or wants to change anything, PM me or reply here... whatever... and I'll add it to that post.

If I had all the money in the world I would buy that, but I can't even afford the knockoff CF stuff :p

Ohh, read in another post about a benro C-269, then looked up the price, was disappointed, the looked up the website and found the make an alu version that is one step smaller (a-169), costs $240 with a small ballhead and only weighs 1.5kg... Much more reasonable.... But I don't have much money atm, so might end up just taking my 190...
Max capacity is 8kg, and the ballhead is 4kg, if the ballhead absolutely sucks I guess I could stick my 488 on there, but it might be a bit big lol...
