I've added the Servaas group buy to my signature so if anyone wants anything, or wants to change anything, PM me or reply here... whatever... and I'll add it to that post.

Depending on how they work with radio mics I/we might be interested in a whole bunch (on one show we went through I think it was 600 9V batteries and 700 AAs)
Although we did recently stock up on energizer industrial (drawer full :p) so might want to chew through those first...

How do rechargeables work in radio mics, out of curiosity?

We used them at the last church I was at with great success. (Using 9V cells in Shure gear.)

Yeah, that's pretty cheap. CF varies widely, of course, but it's sure cheap!

cheers, juice (Canon shooter, Elinchrom lighter, but pretty much agnostic on brands.)

Mic do you ever use off camera stuff for press conferences?

Once, I think :-)

More trouble than it's worth. Media conferences almost always have TV there, so a fair bit of light is there. Time is also an issue.

Well yeah, but that doesn't fold up uber small like the other one I found

Cool, we have shure and sennheiser Mics.... Although we do currently have a drawer full of energizers, and will probably bulk buy anyways so will probably give the group buy a miss...

How is everyone today? I didn't end up getting a second body to borrow for the music festival tomorrow so my options are now limited with one 400D. I really wish I had 2 so I could have my 24mm on one and the 70-200mm on the other but I guess I'll just be doing a bit of switching unfortunately.

Anyone located in the west of Melbourne that won't be using a body tomorrow?

I'd be more interested in having a second for redundancy.

Yeah, definitely. 2 bodies is better than one in this case for various reasons and that's one of them.

I thought that would be the case. I'm covering The Who presser on Monday and was wondering if there was any point in going off camera.

Picked up my Pelican 1614 this morning from Stu's house. It's huge(the case, although his house was large-ish :p). It's going to take me a while to get it configured how I want it...

I got shown around his giant storage area with a lot of expensive stuff. I drooled a fair bit. :p

Almost everyone witl be shooting with mkIIIs and D3s, I'd think, and using natural light if possible.

I still haven't got my 1510 configured for my lights yet - I was all set to do it and then PW released their new devices...

what are everyone's plans for tonight?

Feeding the children (well the two that are here, third is off at a sleepover), then later feeding the wife and I (late lunch, still not particularly hungry).

Processing some photos from a commercial shoot I did today.
