These have arrived... so I need those who ordered to PM me their addresses. At this rate, I'll probably post them out on Monday via AAE. You should have them Tuesday/Wednesday.

Once shipped, I'll PM you back my bank details. I'll update the post with the costs each person needs to pay to cover everything off.

Cheers. :)

Done and done.

Casey: What's the deal with the Hack desktop? How does one acquire such a mac like screen? (Although your icons still look very PC)

Not too bad, although the recycle bin should be down in the "dock" ;) Cool background picture :)

Casey's is a windows desktop with probably something like object dock or similar?

With the proper hack, it's installing Mac OS onto PC hardware :) I've built mine as follows:

GA-EX58-UD5 mobo with i7 920
12G Triple Channel DDR3-1600
Areca ARC-1222 SAS HBA
4x 1TB SATA HDD in RAID10
LG BD/HDDVD Combo

I've installed via iPC first to a 2.5" SATA HDD to get a GUID partitioned disk which is now working fine. I then have then EFI'd the RAID pack and am yet to load the retail DVD to it :)

I see. The second half of that didn't make too much sense to me Feng.

oh... GUID partion is the type of disk required to boot intel macs.

EFI is the Extensible Firmware Interface. http://en.wikipedia.org …nsible_Firmware_Interface (external link)

The hack allows 'driver extensions' to be loaded into the EFI partition on the RAID pack so you can load a vanilla install without modifying the installation volume :)

I just downloaded it to see how it works. Much better than the Vista/windows tool bar. My desktop is icon free now. Even the recycle bins in the dock where it should be.

um... not a bunch... I think just around the $3k mark? All housed in a Lian Li case with a Real Power Pro 850W PSU.

I did already have a video card mind you (8800 Ultra from my PC) so that saves a bit of $.

Did you want some? I always have spares?
