All I know is, my tax was done, I'm not a student, I've not got kids, nor received the previous payment, and I didn't earn over 100k. I should be getting the full $900. :D

Q 1. Did you get all your tax back last financial year?

If the answer to any of the above questions was yes, then you get no money from K-Rudd.

Everything worked out in the end though. They got their ad for some magazine, and I got some great experience in shooting the stones and putting it all together.

Really wanted to make that point eh ? ;-)a

I've heard and seen great things about the Kenko. There was a bloke shooting rugby IIRC using the Sigma 120-300/2.8 with the Kenko 1.4 attached, should still be in the sports sharing section.

First paid job I took, mine was $85.00 an hour. Which worked out super cheap for a wealthy Israeli diamond merchant. I didn't feel I could charge more than that as I was unsure how it would all turn out.

How did they find you, if you don't mind me asking?

DAdeGroot wrote in post #7676129 (external link)
At least 6 times that, plus processing, prints extra.

Michael wrote in post #7676133 (external link)
My rate is substantially higher than $20/hr.

Depending on the work, it can be up to 5 times that...

I'm happy enough to get what I've wrote right now, I've also taken into consideration who they are. If a band of mid-20's came to me later in the year after seeing more than what I've shot now, I'd probably ask for more. But experience is counting against me this time.

Chatting to one of the marketing boys today and I asked, "So what are you doing with your $200?"

He replied, "What $200?"

"You know, the 200 from the goverment?"

"Don't you mean 900?"

"Oh, is that all you earn?" :P

Just dont be too upset if you dont get anything. They have been a bit sketchy with a few of the details regarding who doesnt get the money

I won't really mind. If I get it, I'll be able to get a new 40D quicker. If I don't, I'll go for a used 40D or save and wait longer for a new one.

As far as prices go, the Tamron is the cheapest, the Sigma is 3 times more.. and Kenko is in the middle.

I have the Kenko 1.4x Pro 300 and it's excellent.

I read a heap of comparisons before I bought it and everything I could find said it outperformed the Canon equivalent.

Same here Sammy. Much easier to earn money when I'm not doing year 12... :p
