Q 1. Did you get all your tax back last financial year?

If the answer to any of the above questions was yes, then you get no money from K-Rudd.

I have no idea. I got a refund or sorts.

Really wanted to make that point eh ? ;-)a

Haha. If I get screwed again I'm going to write to Mr Rudd and throw it over the fence of his Kiribilli home, tied to a brick.

How did they find you, if you don't mind me asking?

Good. They delivered everything to my dad's office, I took the shots, they picked up the stock the next day. I sent them off proofs of the images, then the design work and apart from a few minor changes had it done in about 7 hours.

The only reason I haven't done further work for them is because I left my dads business which also meant leaving his equipment. Now that I have everything of my own I'll be slowly getting back into it.

I won't really mind. If I get it, I'll be able to get a new 40D quicker. If I don't, I'll go for a used 40D or save and wait longer for a new one.

Bar that! Didn't lazy half assed students get cash from that last round? As if most of them deserved it! I'm struggling living out of home, paying off my car and debt and I may not see a cent!

Only if they were on youth allowance or aus study. I guess at least they knew uni students were highly likely to spend it quickly and not save it ;)

Personally I can't stand bridge, it's slow, clunky and far from intuitive.

Why do you think it'd be better than LR2 for what you do ?

I do catalogues per year. I know some busy wedding photographers do catalogues per client. LR doesn't tend to slow significantly until you get about 20k images in the catalogue, but you may find smaller catalogues suit your working style better.

Just considering possible alternatives. So far LR2 serves it's purpose.

Regarding the late 2008 MBP, does anyone know for sure if the 15' model can support 8GB of memory? Last I heard it maxed out at 6GB.

I'm a patient student waiting for his 950 share :(....

Ewan, I have the Kenko 2x TC and think its really good. IQ is great and sometimes I can get the 100-400 to AF (in great light) with it.

That just makes it worse! 90% of those people wouldn't deserve a hand out. The kids at work are on youth allowance and they come from well off families, and have jobs too, they're just down right lazy! They make sure they only work 10 hours a week or less so they can claim the rest off the govt. What a joke! It's not like they'd be walking into a shop to drop $600.00 on a new piece of furniture or anything.

Any cites to backup those claims?

Not sure what my lighting will be like, but the Tamron struggles a bit in low light with a TC, so we will have to see!

Any reviews anywhere of the different TC's?

Did I mention I hate Aus. Post.

I've been waiting over a month for a couple of packages from the US. Today, I finally got a chance to call them up and find out what was going on. Turns out they've both been sitting at the local P.O. for over 2 weeks. Never got a card in the letterbox. Needless to say, I was pissed.

At least I finally got my stuff. :)

Least it was the PO you were dealing with... I had some parcels sent to my now-ex-work before I realised I no longer worked there (long story in itself) so now I have to figure out how I'm going to get them back :(

Yeh, I focused on the little one's eyes. I would've been about 2m back, I thought f/5 would've been ok. Obviously not. I added the vignette like that because their shirts were a little over exposed and drew attention from the faces. I might play around with it a little more.

Didn't think about that. I might pick myself up and umbrella too. If I had some gels I would've coloured up the curtain, but alas. No swatch pack yet.

I would agree with the comment that the vignetting is a little too heavy. Pull back a little and i think it will be fine.

I would have thought after attending that portrait seminar you would have picked up some light stands and umbrella by now!!!
