It says over and over on this board that a new forum will NOT be created to seperate the kids from the people forum, yet there is a forum called kids/family.

Case in point.

What gives?

Update:
After even more searching, I've found that admin simply changed their minds?

I can't believe that a bunch of complaining by some has prompted this move to segregate the forums by age. What's next? A Seniors forum? A men's forum? An Asian people forum?, White people, etc?
I guess at the end of the day it all comes down to $, or more specifically, fear of losing web hits.

I think admin had it right the first time when they said "absolutely not" to a seperate forum for children.
Just my $.02, carry on.

The Kids/Family section was not segregated by age, the split is there for people to either post photos of their family (whatever age). Photos in the "People" section are for more "pure" portraiture and critique.

That's where the distinction lies. It's not about age or kids in the least.

I think you might be getting the wrong idea here.

The people forum was receiving so many new threads per day it needed to be split up in order to make it manageable and readable.

There was support for separating the forums into the new structure, and so far it has been very, very successful. We now have a great share forum were members can share photos of their families.

Feel free to enjoy your time here (it really is one of the nicest forums on the net) and if you really, really like it feel free to donate to the forums costs: https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=57667 or buy something from the shop: http://www.procameragear.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=30 (external link)
