Anyone else sick of their annoying hours? Gosh, they close at 1! WTH!?! Why!?! Seriously...it wouldn't be a problem if they accepted the gift cards I have but no0o0o0o, apparently there is something wrong with them. I would have called last night, but it was 11pm.

Their schedule is just so annoying. No gift cards from them that why I'm not stuck to their schedule and if I want something, I'll get it from Adorama or somewhere if I'm not restricted to them. I know this discussion has happen before and we should be happy they close for holidays blah blah blah but this is ridiculous. Why open a store for 3hrs on FRIDAY!!! Then closed on Saturdays! Some people have this thing called work, which they obviously don't. So sad for those that can't make it out there within there VIP slotted schedule...

They are NOT changing their schedule for you, or anyone else. Get over it, or shop somewhere else. BH is okay, but I've yet to see a deal there, that couldn't be gotten elsewhere for less $$$.

I would, but if ya read, I can't. I have gift cards that must be used and I prefer not to spend $140 of my own. I know its a rant, but it's annoying. Right now they have $40 of my mother-in-law's and I can't find out anything till Sunday. Not to mention because of their weird schedule, 2 day ordering yesterday means it would arrive on the 20th when standard shipping would have been the 21st. Saves on shipping but so much for people that want/need something soon.

It's a religious thing.

I can understand your frustration, but there's something admirable about a company putting religion ahead of capitalism and profitability. I'm not very religious myself, but I can respect that.

Religion above capitalism! How un-American:lol:

I don't think it has occured to the OP the significance that it is shabbatt (no offense to anyone, I hope. I know I mispelled that.)

Instead of ranting and stomping your feet, why don't you respect their religion and their right to celebrate it. do you see the Jewish people cry about all the stores being closed on Christmas?

I've bought many things from B&H. They are an excellent company in my opinion, took back several things I decided I didn't like, no questions, fast reliable service. I"ll use them again and their hours were never any problem for me.

True that! Yeah, well, Chick-fil-a is only closed on Sundays and nothing else. Besides...meh, I guess no Jewish jokes.

Not everyone is. They can have their Christian employees work. :D

Yea, it's a religious tradition among Hasidic Jews to not work from Sunset Friday till I think Saturday afternoon/Sunset IIRC. B&H's owners are very religious and follow their religious practice before business. I also hear that the owner donates most of the profits to charity and lives a very simple life. They also take many holidays off during October/November IIRC as well. To make things convenient, they post their hours and if they are not accepting orders during the times when they cannot work. While I have too been inconvenienced by their unusual hours, I can certainly respect a man's religious practice and his desire to put religion over business. I buy from them when the price is right but buy from others when the price or the convenience is better for me as well. I've no loyalty to B&H. I think you can still add the items to your cart and do the check out thing and they will get to it when they open though.

I guess the best times to order are Sundays-Thursday/Friday morning for B&H. Adorama I belive has a very similar schedule as well, as they are closed from 2PM Friday and all day Sat and re open Sunday.

Amazon is open pretty much open more standard hours and may be an option.

OH yeah you can, but I need to call so I can yell about why I don't have the $40 I'm suppose. I know it's $40 but in these trying times and gas jumping back up, that's a lot. And it's not like I can order part of what I want as I still have to wait till Monday for them to ship it out so, yeah. But I can call and get the order placed and ready. *sigh*

It's just very disappointing as I spent quite awhile researching a new bag and was so ready to order it last night but couldn't. Decided waiting till today was no biggie so after work I came home (at 1) and they were closed...

their hours really are silly but they are the leaders in the industry so i guess it works for them. but yeah it bugs me to get that pop-up on weekends and other times when i check out their site.

like i have said repeatedly after the stunt BH pulled with canon instant rebates a couple of years ago i only buy from BH as a last resort.
