Now that annoys me more than anything. I know you're closed (although there was no pop up today) so stop with the freaking pop up!

But you are right about leaders. I'd buy from Beach or Adorama, but family knows B&H. I've seen much better deals over there as well, but more on big ticket items.

True that! Yeah, well, Chick-fil-a is only closed on Sundays and nothing else. Besides...meh, I guess no Jewish jokes.

Not everyone is. They can have their Christian employees work. :D

mmmm chick fil a... its worth waiting one day for the rest of the week of goodness... i refer you to this thread...

or hire heathens. when i'm ready to push the button i'd buy from satan himself; religion or the lack thereof has nothing to do with it :D.

Yeah...I'm not sure why they can't. I forgot a lot Jewish rules but they're suppose to be the business people.

It's just very disappointing as I spent quite awhile researching a new bag and was so ready to order it last night but couldn't. Decided waiting till today was no biggie so after work I came home (at 1) and they were closed...

What bag are you picking up? I've enjoyed your reviews so far.

Velocity 8 which I've noticed there are very few reviews so this is coming from those and the pics on Tamrac and what a few people said on DPreview. Must say a lot though for me to pick it out of stuff there are reviews on. Thanks by the way! :D I miss doing them but financially I couldn't keep that up. Once I start teaching and taking more photo jobs, I'm sure it'll happen again and the Mrs. will question it but I'll sell a bag to get a new one. Sometimes.

I feel you, I agree that its annoying b/c they close so early on Friday's, and even more annoying that they are closed the whole day on Saturday!

But, their wide and extensive selection of gear is what keeps me going back (that and the free soda and snacks on Sundays...wOooo!)

I think B&H are a pretty honest, trustworthy and decent company. The fact that they're Jewish and have what could be considered odd times of working to the rest of us doesn't really bother me at all.
I'm not at all religious, but if someone else is (and I really don't care what religion), as long as they're not trying to convert me, that's fine by me.

Banking/money... not so much business... it's just the Jewish rules of respecting the Sabbath. No work is to be done on the Sabbath.

they can't because it is also again the religion. asking their non-jewish employees to sell on Shabbat is exactly like them working on Shabbat as well.

Exactly! Because you bringing common sense would imply you understood sarcasm in which you don't! Therefore contradicting yourself! And we can't have that!!! That was close. You were endanger of understanding...

And Native. Wow...what country is that? I'm native as well. To Earth, South American, Eastern and Southern Hemispheres...Milky Way Galaxy...um, the Universe, yeah..............

aravena, I fear that you may be losing credibility and respect, even if you are being facetious.
