I have a 40d. Love the camera, except for one thing. When I use live view, after a minute or so, I get this one pixel blue line goes from top to bottom of picture in the left 1/4 of the frame. I thought this was an LCD issue till i looked at the picture on the computer, yeap, still there. Now, i don't use live view very often at all, but i would like to have that option!

Also sometimes it seems like the picture on the back screen is fuzzy, not in focus. But when viewing on the computer, everything is very sharp. I only get the blue line in live view, and only if i use live view over a minute or so. I figure this has to do with the sensor warming up. I never get this when not in live view. I wander if this will happen if i do really long exposures? I have to check this

has anybody ever seen this?

I'm guessing the sensor is getting too warm and an entire vertical line of photo sites reaches a lit state and stays there.
