STL reporting in. Camera prices finally down to 30% off (lenses 40%)...

50D kit (with 28-135mm) $1,120...Amazon= $1,325
40D Body only $910...Amazon = $900
70-300mm IS $390...Amazon =$549
55-250mm f/4.0 SOLD OUT
430EX II $231 Amazon SOLD OUT

sales in St. Louis/MO are sales taxable. After considering the sales tax, the 50D is finally at a slightly better price than I got on Amazon a couple of weeks ago ($1,235). It appeared they had one left. If it's still there at 40% off (I dount it), I'll buy another one:)

50D with the 28-135mm found a new home with me. No 30D, 40D or 50D's left at the Mid-Rivers Mall area Circuit City in Missouri. They ran out the door today.

If the 70-300 hit that here as well, that is going to be very tempting. A local store had two left last week for $454 each.

Check the print date on the tag, it might be old and still reflect an older price.

Someone sold my stores' 430EXII display last night without checking to see if there was one in a box - woohoo for me!

Will do. Hell, I could buy them both then sell one and my 55-250 and break even

Congrats! Did you get it at $1,120? Anything else decent left at Mid-Rivers? I'm in Webster but I have to be out that way tomorrow.

Is there a good place to search for CC locations? Or better yet, which ones are still open? I know at least one location near me is already closed down,

That's tough because the website is down. I've been using maps.google.com and searching "circuit city maryland". I'd say you can try calling each location to make sure they're open, but it's my experience that many locations have simply stopped picking up the phone.

Yeah, I'm probably going to have to drop by the location I'm wondering about. I've never been there before, but their phone is disconnected so I don't know if they are or ever were open. We have one new store locally that, to the best of my knowledge, never opened for business. It was still under construction back in October/November I think.

Their 30% is usually close enough to the price of some online retailers (especially on something like a body) that you probably aren't going to make enough, if any, off the transaction to be worth it.

That being said, I have seen people pay more for something on ebay than they would have spent at a normal online retailer. There are always those that don't check and just assume that since it's on ebay it must be a deal!
