Hi All

I would welcome some feedback and insight as the choice of background colour that you think best shows off images on the web?

I hope the poll options I have posted make sense :D

That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans :p

Yes, in the past I have favoured white but I have (I think) seen a shift to the grey and or black BGs hence the poll.

Of those that have answered the poll and though too few to be statistically relevent 'black' is the leader of the pack :)

:D hmmm OK, I did "say" for Dark Grey ~ should not need a border. The need for a border for me is to ensure deliniation of the image from the background and yes if the grey is very dark....yes may need a border.

Thanks guys for the input.

Though not a whole lot of votes "black" leads the pack :)

Because (for now) I hope to use a templated site provider (Photium) I will be able, as I understand it, to ring the changes once I have settled on the overall look I want. So I might try both black and then white and over the next few weeks/months see how it goes.

:)

Taking the view that dark has lead the pack is interesting i.e. black and dark grey equal the largest number though black is in the lead by a good (relative) proportion, I will now stick with my earlier thoughts to go with black for a while and see how it goes.

Thanks all for the input :)
