Timphoto Creme de la Curmudgeon More info | Jan 17, 2009 08:02 | #1 Taken from Fort Baker on the Marin side. 1/4 second, f/4, ISO 1600, 5DMkII, 24-105 Lens. This one was about 45 minutes after sunset, no PP other than resizing for the web. The bright dot in the sky above the bridge is one of the planets. I kept the exposure time short because I didn't want to lose the water surface detail.

When I first looked at it, I thought I had a hot pixel or something. But now, I rather like the planet in there. If I were going to do some PP on this picture, I would clone out the red & white sailboat lights on the extreme left side center of the shot too.

I understand your point, but it seems like the water in the foreground adds depth to it. Cameras: Canon 20D, Canon Rebel XT (converted to infrared)

I appreciate everyone's suggestions and comments. Thanks! I'm taking a Photoshop class this fall, and this photo will be one of my class projects. Roy - I'm still in a debate with myself about whether to crop the picture, or become a "Master of the Universe" and delete the planet.
