I'm posting four photos from this afternoon shot w/40D, f/1.8, 85mm, HS GBB game, ambient light, no PP other than I reduced the size of these. I've been in pursuit of a decent WB, in these I tried CWB. My laptop monitor is not calibrated. You guys (and gals) are great with your diverse opinions and critiques. Please give it a shot (as if you have nothing to do already) and PP photo #1; do everything/anything that you deem necessary to come up w/the best results from what you have at hand (Please do not tell me that you would burn all your equipment if you had to deal w/photos like these!); straighten horizons, cropping, unsharp mask, etc. Feel free to PP all four, if you like (or if you're really bored). I will post my PP versions later (after midnight CST), I have another shoot in about an hour. C & C very much welcome as always.

Thanks!

i did #1, the rest were quite ok to me,

I cropped out the hand on the left and did some quick levels, curves and a very very slight vignette

I'd crop #1 even tighter. I don't like the ref in the lower left, but didn't want to cut off a little bit of the elbow, so I took the lesser of two evils. Note also that the letter H in the background is whole. That's important as well.

#1 looks a tad bit red to me, I pulled that channel down and added a bit of usm. others are fine. I'd be very happy with that lighting;)
Are you shooting jpg and are your in-camera settings bumping the saturation?

i think the ref adds to the image, that's why i left him in my crop :)

Hey Chico! This is my take on the picture with Whitney #1.

Used a little Curves and Levels adjustments. The other pictures posted look a little gray. Also gave it a little Vibrance boost to keep the skin tones looking natural.

Also applied an Unsharp Mask to it. It looked a little soft to me.

Cropped the arm out, and to the top of the right light, cropped it in to the edge of the light. Gives the picture a little more DOF if you ask me.

I would drop the ref and take the tighter crop. IMHO he adds nothing to the photo but distraction.

Ok, this is what I would do if I were to do a close crop, and I would also clone stamp the light out of the corner.
