Takin' the 1D MK II to it's limits:

This picture was taken with these settings:

ISO 3200, f2.8, handheld/IS ON, shutter 1/30

noise red. off, Manual WB, NO flash - only available streetlight.

Hi Clicky,

That is pretty amazing. Did you use any noise reduction software? I have not tried shooting at 3200 ISO. After seeing your resluts I may give it a try.

No noise-reduction is used here, neither in camera or PS. I was pretty amazed myself. Also, bear in mind that this image was shot in JPG Fine 10 and then compressed again in PS as JPG 10. The straigh-out-of-the-camera-original image is about 7,5 MB. I recon that shooting RAW and adding a tuned dose of noise-reduction would improve the quality even more.
