That's lovely, and as trails go I personally think you went for just the right amount of time. One of my favourites so far, that one! :)

Did you see the guy who did the Pt. Reyes boat one? Too bad we don't have an ocean with old ships here... lol ;)

Thanks! I've never done any astronomy shots at all - so bear with me. :confused:

Does that mean you took 3 minute exposures, 12 times on one frame? Or what did I miss?

i took 12 or 13 pictures, each one was a 3 minuted times exp. i used my remote and set it to take a shot every 3 minutes.

...and what you then do is stack the images together in something like Photoshop, or use a specialist program, like the one available at startrails.de.
