Unable to connect to camera window

I've been using my Ixus 330 and ZoomBrowser 3.3 with Win98 since August, but all of a sudden, when I want to download pictures to my PC, I get the message "Unable to connect to camera window". I've unchecked and rechecked ZoomBrowser in Control Panel/Scanners and Cameras to no avail, and even uninstalled all the software, deleting all ZoomBrowser files as well, before reinstalling it, but nothing works. What's doubly puzzling is that I can connect to the camera using Downloader and/or PaintShop Pro, so I imagine this means there's no problem with the physical connection. Does anyone have any ideas to solve this problem? I like using ZoomBrowser to be able to listen to sound memos I've recorded! Thanks for any help.
Jill

If Ziggy's remedy doesn't work, try mine! My Twain driver has never worked for my D60. I use a card reader but ZB never recognised this but what I do is this: Open ZB, put CF into USB hub, unplug CF reader from hub and plug in again. ZB then recognises the CF reader and downloads images to the camera window. Why this works, I don't know - Canon foible I guess.

Cheers

I don't know if this is the right place to post this query, but I'm having a serious problem downloading my pictures from the Ixus V3 to the computer. After I installed the bundled software, restarted and plugged in the camera via the USB connection, the rest of the driver did not install and took me straight to a download picture window instead. Tried to download but got an error msg saying that there was an error in the picture transfer. After uninstalling and reinstalling the software a couple of times according to the manual, I still encountered the same problem. Hope someone can help!
I was wondering whether using the PC port and CF card instead wld help - is the driver still required?
