I'd like to fire the flash off camera and was curious if you could do that using the PC socket found on a camera (1DMKIII or 40D) and 580EX II?
They both appear to be the same connector so what cable am I looking for, if I can dot it at all?

I'll end up getting both eventually but right now I think the Male to Male PC Sync Cable is what I'm looking for. 5DMKIII ll 35L ll 24-70L ll 70-200L II ll 2x TC ll 1.4x TC ll 580EXII
